Educating the Personal Trainers of Tomorrow

Hi All,

Just thought I would drop you a quick bit of news, over the next few weeks I will be working with some of the Personal Trainers of tomorrow. I will be working with a small group of guys and girls to help them in thier studies towards their Level 3 DIploma in Personal Training.

I have been doing bits of teaching on and off for the last couple of years, but this is something I really do find rewarding.

So if you want to be a personal trainer, why not get in contact and we can get you hooked up on the course!

FREE London Shine 2011 Training Guide

London shine is a night walk event held annually in London in aid of Cancer Research UK.  This event has got bigger and bigger over the years and now has many dedicated followers.  It is an awesome event and is totally different to anything you have ever done before!  The event this year will be on Saturday 24th September 2011 at 19:00.

The great thing about Shine is that is open to all, so get your walking shoes on and join in.  You can choose to do the full on 26 mile walk or the 13 mile walk in and around London city centre, and take in some of the amazing sights London has to offer.  If you would like to see the full route have a look at this map.

Shopping and Champers

Kay Bishton, one of my clients is trying to raise money for breast cancer.  You may have seen the post I did last week about her Charity Run.
She has arranged a smashing event at Modiste in Stockport.  This event is aimed at women and is a chance to drink and shop in aid of a good cause!
Here are the details:-
5 Lower Hillgate, Stockport. SK1 1JQ on Thursday 14th October 5pm – 8pm

Come along to Modiste and enjoy a free glass of bubbly whilst you peruse the latest collections.

There will be discounts on the night with 10% of proceeds going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Pre Natal Specialist

Over the last few months some of the training team have been working hard and studying all there is to know about pre-natal fitness, exercise during pregnancy, and how being pregnant and exercising go well togather. This has been facilitated by the following the NASM Pre-Natal Specialist course.

Using a Personal Trainer during your pregnancy has a number of very important benefits, these include:-

  • women who are active during pregnancy tend to have a more comfortable labour.
  • Women who exercise during pregnancy tend to need less medical interventions and have a shorter labour.
  • Women who exercise in the 1st and 2nd trimester tend to have a easier 3rd trimester than those who don’t.
  • Women who exercise throughout pregnancy tend to recover and resume usual exercise levels post pregnancy.
