Natural Food Finder Conference at Sheepdove Organic Farm

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Hi All,

Organic-NFF1

There is an awesome conference going on that is aimed at all those who have an interest in nutrition and health. Lets face it that should be all of us! We really need to make an effort to support these types of events as they are few and far between here in the UK, although we are slowly catching up! This event and some of the information carried in it can truly be life changing.

The conference is the brain child of Ben Pratt, of Natural Food Finder (look out for the up coming site review and an interview with the great man himself), it aims to bring to light some of the truths behind diet, nutrition and wellbeing.

The conference is called Natural Food and Nutrition for Modern Diseases and will be held on the 24th September 2010, so not long left now get yourselves booked on, I am sure a conference of this caliber will sell out fast!

Ben had gathered an awesome range of speakers, these include:-
- Ben Pratt – Author / Founder Natural Food Finder – Topic: OBESITY
- Barry Groves – Author, Topic: FATS – Weightloss
- Sir Julian Rose – Organic pioneer and author, Topic: GMO and Organic Farming
- Dr Natasha Campbell McBride – Presenter, Author. Topic: Heart Disease
- Pete Cohen – GMTV weightloss guru presenter, Topic: Making the change and moving forward.

In line with the content of the day the event will be held at Sheepdrove Organic Farm, Lambourn, Berkshire.

Have a look at Natural Food Finder for more information.

Tom on Channel M

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

On Friday myself and Mark Bowness of dontbythismanapint.com fame appeared on Channel M last Friday. It was a great experience, we got the opportunity to talk about Mark’s exciting challenge to give up alcohol for twelve months and embark on a period of self improvement. He will use this time to improve both body and mind.

So on Friday we went down to the Channel M studio at Urbis to talk about the project.

Here’s the You Tube clip of the news segment.

While Mark is doing all this he is also trying to raise awareness of the SOS Children’s Village charity, a great cause and one well worth supporting.

Mark’s story is truly inspirational and if you would like to follow in his footsteps give us a call and see how we can help you make positive changes in your life to help you live a happier, healthier and longer life.

Look out for regular updates on here and dontbuythismanapint.com.

Don’t Buy This Man a Pint

no_beer-300x291

Hi all,

I have recently become involved in a great project that Mark Bowness is has set himself, he is giving up alcohol for a year.  During this time he is looking to improve himself both in body, mind and spirit.  Want to know more have a look here.

He is also doing the very brave thing of telling everyone about his mission and also blogging about it at dontbuythismanapint.com.  He is not only doing this but he is using the media interest to get people involved in SOS Children’s Village, a charity that sponsors villages in poorer regions of the world.  He has pledged to use £20 of the money he would have spent on alcohol in a month to put towards this charity.  Why not do the same? We have decided to give him some support, in terms of his fitness, nutrition and wellbeing.  Stay tuned both here and on Mark’s blog for more info of what we will be doing.

Here is what i have had to say about this great project:

Mark talked to us at Foresight Personal Training a few weeks ago and explained that his mission for the year is to give up alcohol and go on a journey of self discovery.  This journey will take him through improvements in both body and mind, when we first heard about this we though ‘wow what a brave bloke’, not only is he embarking on this epic goal, but he is documenting and publicising it for the world to see.

We are so happy to be involved in this exciting project and hope that this helps Mark to live a happier, healthier and most importantly longer life.  We look forward to supporting Mark in every way we possibly can and hope his tale acts as inspiration to those who follow his story to make small, lasting changes to their lifestyle in order to reap the massive rewards of improved health.

Mark is not only making a massive change in his own life but by his support and fund raising for SOS Children’s Villages, he is also making a massive change in so many others lives across the world.  This is a great cause and we do encourage you to support them!

We would like to thanks Mark for the opportunity to be involved in this great project and we hope that our advice, that will be made freely available on by the dontbythismanapint.com blog and on our blog (
www.foresight-fitness.co.uk/blog/) will lead to improvements in health in the wider community.

As Fit As a Butchers Dog

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Just stumbling around the internet as I often do and came across a get UK based website for all those who are out there looking for a partner to do various sports with or for a coach.  Great idea if you ask me, how often do people have a burning desire to try a new activity or get involved with a new sport, but due to lack of a person or group to do it with they give up.  This site is highly useful for the adventurous of us out there who love to try new activities and enjoy meeting new people.

Well all you need to do is go to  http://afaabd.com/ and get yourself a profile, let everyone know what you are looking for and you might find a group, club, or training partner in the sport or activity you are looking for.  The site works just the same as many of the other social network type sites, so if you are a facebooker you will find it a breeze to get started, if not the user interface is simple and un-cluttered making it very user friendly.

The site has a great range of tools, it brings social networking to the fitness world.  So have a look and see what you think, and I am sure that you will find it a great tool for motivating yourself to try new things, pick back up old activities you used to do and motivate yourself to keep going!

While your on there why not look us up my profile is Tomforesight and if you are one of our clients it would be very much appreciated if you could give us a rating!
